- Androscoggin Wayside Park
Situated on a bluff overlooking a bend in the scenic Androscoggin River, once famous for logging drives. Rapids make the river a favorite for canoeists. Picnicking and fishing.

- Franconia Notch State Park
A deep valley of 6,440 acres situated between the towering peaks of the Franconia and Kinsman mountain ranges, containing scenic wonders. This year-round recreation area offers swimming, camping, scenic auto road, a small RV park, picnicking, hikingon numerous trails and alpine skiing on Cannon Mountain. Home of the New England Ski Museum.

- Moose Brook State Park
Located in the heart of stream fishing country, this park makes a great base for fishing and hiking the Crescent and Presidential Mountain ranges. Campground has 42 tent sites. Picnicking.
Gorham - Off U.S. Route 2
- Bedell Bridge State Park
This classic Connecticut River flood-plain farmland was the site of the second longest two-span covered bridge in the country, built in 1866. The bridge was destroyed by a violent wind storm in 1979, less than two months after the completion of a six-year program to raise funds to restore the structure. Picnicking and fishing on site.
Haverhill - Route 1O & 23

Mountain-top park on Mt. Prospect. Estate of John Wingate Weeks (860-1926), Secretary. of War and U.S. Congressman who introduced legislation establishing the White Mountain National Forest. Building is on the National Register of Historic Places. Hiking, scenic auto road, historic stone fire tower, and picnicking. Guided tours of building.

- Milan Hill State Park
This mountain park provides sweeping views of Canada, the White Mountains and mountains of Maine. Nearby Androscoggin River has trout fishing. Fire tower and picnic areas.

- Connecticut Lakes State Forest
Deer Mountain Campground has 20 primitive campsites. Wood and water available. Trout and salmon fishing.
Pittsburg - Route 3
- Lake Francis State Park
This lakefront park offers 36 tent sites for camping, a picnic area, and a boat launch. Located in the northern wilderness of New Hampshire, there is excellent fishing for rainbow trout, salmon and pickerel. No swimming.
Pittsburg - Off U.S. Route 3
- Mt. Washington State Park
This 52-acre mountain park is atop the highest mountain in the Northeast (6,288 ft.). Highest wind velocity in the world was recorded here at 231 MPH. Modern summit building, snack bar and gift shop. Restored historic Tip Top House is staffed and open daily. Surrounded by the White Mountain National Forest. Summit reached by hiking trails, Auto Road or Cog Railway.

- Coleman State Park
On Little Diamond Pond in timbered Connecticut Lakes region. Campground with 30 primitive tent sites. Excellent trout fishing. Hiking, snowmobiling and XC-skiing.
