Dave reads the fine print. His dad is an old engine collector. We are back at the Marine Museum of the Atlantic for part two.
On the wharf at the Museum. Can you believe the weather on our departure day? Enjoying every last minute.
Good exhibit. Learned some new facts. The museum tells it like it was and how it is today. Maritime and fishing history is quite a story. The outcome is in progress.
Chilly morning and the dogs are dressed up smartly.
Looks like a fair ferry crossing tonight.
Dave gets in some vacation reading as we wait for the ferry to reload. I watch some local wildlife: seagulls and rats.
We leave land and board the ferry with less enthusiasm than we had on August 21st.
Goodby Yarmouth!
Another "landmark" not so ugly in a modern way.Freshly painted for this passing season of tourists.
Almost out of the harbour now. Mixed feelings as we head for Maine and then New Hampshire.
On our way home. See you next year?
A simple meal and a quiet evening. We keep humming some boisterous Halifax Privateer song and we each take turns changing the words. It's not the wine, it's two weeks of constantly togetherness. So this is how the sailors coped!
Heading West .
Guiding us home. A little unexpected treat, and one of the few sunsets we've seen this two weeks past.
Bar Harbor landing. 9:30 p.m. and it's decidedly a post-summer evening.
Displaying our LOOT. Our treasures from the many beaches and coves along the way of our two week journey. They will find their way to computer room, plant pots, and mantle. We we will remember our trip again and again.
