Stop at the Queen's county museum and then the Hank Snow music center before leaving Liverpool. Stop at "The Ovens" on the way to Halifax. Get a nice hotel room and a good meal in Halifax.
We discovered when leaving Liverpool, that the Chapin brothers were having an annual "Family concert by the sea" all day at the ovens. The thought of crowds of families and "Taxi" were just too much to bear, so we opted for an earlier arrival in Halifax.
While heading for Highway 103, We saw a sign for Beach Meadows. Dave had read about this retiree living there who dresses life-size dummies and puts them in places you'd expect to see real folks. So we decided to swing by. We did see a fairly stiff guy beside a mailbox. Straight ahead was a parking lot for the beach. Having ditched our plans for the day so early on, we stopped to take a look.
These girls are headed for cushy summer jobs doling out tourist info.
