Today is a driving day. We decided to skip the sunrise trail part of Nova Scotia and spend two nights in Wolfville.
The day started with sunrise on the Elsie. After a nice breakfast of fresh fruit and oatcakes we motored back to the harbor, got a hot shower and hit the road. The drive from the Canso causeway to Truro on TCH 104 was tedious. The mostly two lane highway with occasional passing lane was packed with Monday traffic. At Truro we got off the highway and onto 215, the Glooscap trail, my attitude changed immediately. The Glooscap trail is lazy road running through the rolling hills of farmland along the Minas basin. We arrived at the Blomidon in Wolfville with an hour to spare before our dinner reservation.
At Truro we finally got off of the highways for some more fun driving. Canadian highways are usually limited access 2 lane roads with the occasional climbing lane.
