Visit the Historical society in Canso then head to Charlos cove and spend the day exploring.
We made the best of a gray day. We both liked the Canso museum, when we left the skies were still gray. We sidetracked through White Head, and Cole Harbor. We stopped to ask an elderly couple on a ATV about a promising dirt road. Unfortunately they didn't speak English and Rosanne was reluctant to use the little French she knows. Ah well the sky was threatening and I don't think either of us was up for the adventure.
After checking in at the Seawind Landing we had a delicious pan-fried haddock lunch in Larry's River. Then it was off to Tor Bay provincial park for a few hours of beach combing. When we returned to the Seawind, Rosanne and I snored for an hour or more. We awoke to discover that the sun had burst out.
A good meal and talkative dinner crowd finished the day off.
Charlos Cove at sunset. AAHHH
